This photographic inventory report is invaluable when you need to show police stolen or damaged items, when you need to identify recovered items, and when you need a reference point after a catastrophe such as a hurricane, fire, earthquake, or tornado. It is essential for every owner to keep a documented inventory of their personal property. Failure to do so may cost you hundreds, if not thousands in the event of a property claim. Insurance policies will replace property with the "same kind and quality" concept of what you lost. But if your property is valued above the "standard" rule, it is your responsibility to prove otherwise.
The policy interpretation is where the problems usually arise. It is assumed that families have up to three color TV's. But what is not assumed is that you may have a flat screen TV valued at in the thousands of dollars or custom made furniture or drapery, etc. Property that falls into this category is not assumed by any insurance company. You will have to prove you had it in order to receive actual replacement cost, in the event of a claim. Insurance companies will ask for receipts or some type of inventory, including description and value of damaged or stolen property. FPIC have extensive background experience in both structure and personal property evaluation and the way insurance claims are processed. FPIC know how to help you protect your investment. We will provide you with:
• Other items that may have been endorsed on your policy or appraised and not documented above, e.g., jewelry, furs, collections, tools, guns, etc., will be recorded also. Even though they are documented on your policy, a digital record will greatly help in identifying those items if they were taken in a theft and later recovered by police. • There are no additional charges for your first update to your report during the first year. We will add or delete items at your request and send you the new documented list for your records. You can send us updates via E-mail or Fax. We will keep a backup of all of the information in an offsite safe deposit. • At your verbal and written request, we will immediately send any documentation necessary to your insurance company or police department for priority handling of your claim. Note: If an additional trip is needed in order to update your inventory, there will be a nominal charge. Up to 2,000 square feet ----- $400.00 One half is due at signing of contract.
